The Department of Political Science has a number of specific funds and scholarships you can donate toward, and help current students that are excited and passionate about working in the field of psychology achieve their goals. • The Crum Award ($100) is a research paper competition not limited to majors. The Undergraduate Program Committee of the Political Science Department judges entries. The award will be presented at the Political Science Department's annual dinner.

• The Amry and The Mary Belle Vandenbosch Award ($100) is an undergraduate research paper competition open to Political Science majors or minors at UK. The award will be judged by a committee of faculty in the areas of constitutional law and civil liberties. The award is presented at the Political Science Department's annual dinner.

• Kentucky Legislative Internship Program allows students with a solid background in Political Science to have internships with individual legislators during the next session of the Kentucky legislature.

• Vandenbosch Outstanding Senior Political Science Major Award ($200) is given to a senior majoring in Political Science. The award is given in honor of Professor Amry Vandenbosch, who was chairman of the department from 1935 to 1958 and who retired from active service in 1965. The award consists of a plaque and a cash prize. In addition, two other winners receive certificates and a ($75) cash prize. Nominees must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better and must exhibit good moral character and service to the University or to the larger community. Applicants must graduate or plan to graduate no later than August of the application year.
