Yolanda Estes (Ph.D. , 1998) is an Associate Professor at Mississippi State University. She specializes in German idealism, particularly in the philosophy of J.G. Fichte, and in ethics.
Arnold Farr (Ph.D., 1996) has been appointed Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Kentucky.
Larry Gray (B.A., 1979) is currently the Vice President for Administrative and Support Services at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He received his M.Div. at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1979, and his M.HA. from the University of Kentucky in 1995. He has also served as an adjunct faculty member at the Martin School of Public Policy and Administration, Health Administration Organizational and Managerial Ethics since 2002.
Kevin Harrelson (Ph.D.) had his dissertation accepted for publication as a book. "The Ontological Argument from Descartes to Hegel" will be published in the "Journal of the History of Philosophy" Book Series/Prometheus Books, December 2008. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Ball State University.
John Inglis (Ph.D., 1993) is currently Professor and Chair of the Philosophy Department at the University of Dayton. He has published the following books: "Thomas Aquinas" (Ashgate, 2006); "On Medieval Philosophy" (Wadsworth, 2005); "Medieval Philosophy and the Classical Tradition" (Curzon/Routledge, 2002); "On Aquinas" (Wadsworth, 2002); "Spheres of Philosophical Inquiry and the Historiography of Medieval Philosophy" (Brill, 1998). He currently works on the impact that the Inquisition had on philosophy and theology in the 13th century, and spends summers each year and sabbaticals with Ulrike Schellhammer and Sophie at Lake Constance in Germany near the Swiss border.
Ellen Nolan (B.A., 1990) currently works for the Department of Juvenile Justice in Frankfort. She is a member of the Steering Committee of the
Bluegrass Alliance for Women
, which is a non-profit organization. BAW’s mission is to improve the lives of women and girls in the Bluegrass Area Development District. She is also current President of the Bluegrass Central Branch of the American Association of University Women.
Robert (Bob) Pettit (B.A., 1967) has spent his entire career working with public schools. He is currently the Director of Leadership for America’s Choice, a private company that assists elementary, middle, and high schools with their school improvement needs.
Janet Roccanova (Ph.D., 1999) is currently the Director of Education Aborad and Exchange Programs in the University of Kentucky Office of International Affairs.
Will Sanders (B.A., 2008) is currently studying Mandarin at Peking University. He plans to pursue an M.A. in East Asian Languages and Cultures at the University of Virginia, and eventually, a Ph.D. in medieval Chinese religious historiography.
David Selzer (B.A., 1972) is a Reverend, and moved to Ottawa, Ontario in September 2008 to become a part of the Anglican Church of Canada. He has been appointed with a Lutheran pastor colleague by the Anglican Diocese of Ottawa to establish a joint Anglican Lutheran congregation in Ottawa, the first of its kind in Canada.
Robert Shields (Ph.D., 2003) presented a paper, "Practicing Goodness," at the Annual Meeting of the Tennessee Philosophical Association, at Vanderbilt University in Fall 2007. He lives in upper east Tennessee, continues to work at Barnes & Noble, and occasionally teaches at Milligan College and Emmanuel School of Religion.
