Japan Studies

Japan Studies is as an Interdisciplinary Program offered by the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Kentucky.

The Japan Studies minor consists of 23-hours of coursework in Japanese language, cultural studies, and contemporary East Asian history, politics, and society. Through the minor, students are taught the culture and geography of Japan and are prepared for careers involving work with Japan in an international business setting. Also, students may pursue Japan Studies as a Topical Major or through the major programs under the heading of Foreign Languages and International Economics.

A new homepage for Japan Studies is under development.  In the meantime, please click here to continue to the existing site.
