We are strongly committed to serving the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Our students have gone on to teach at universities, colleges, community colleges, high schools, and middle schools throughout the state. They have also served in state and local government, historical societies, and in the development and preservation of archives, libraries, and museums.

We encourage you to become involved in the future of the department by making a charitable contribution to the Department of History. In addition to supporting the History Department during the annual Arts & Sciences Phonathon, you can contribute to our future success by making a gift of cash or stock, establishing or contributing to a named endowment or remembering the program with a planned donation. Your tax-deductible gift will enable us to:

• Provide tuition assistance and support research and travel opportunities for undergraduate students
• Establish fellowships and research funds for graduate students
• Set up and maintain named professorships for outstanding faculty
• Support activities unique to the Department of History, including the graduate- student-run Bluegrass Symposium
