Welcome to the Department of Geography in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky.

The Department of Geography offers undergraduate major and minor areas of study and is home to a top 20 graduate program offering Master of Arts and Ph.D. degrees. The Department of Geography is known for its research and teaching in human and physical geography, examining diverse physical and cultural landscapes and the spatiality of political and economic life, in many regions of the world. Through geography, students gain an appreciation of the complex relationship between human and physical elements of the earth's surface.
