In Academic Year 2007-08, Gender and Women’s Studies received permission from the Council on Postsecondary Education to propose a Ph.D. in GWS.  The GWS Graduate Committee continues to work on a draft of a Ph.D. degree program. Once sufficient number of additional faculty have been hired, the proposed degree program will be submitted to appropriate UK committees and councils. We do not have a definite target date for the first GWS Ph.D. class, but we will keep you posted. In the meantime, interested students may still undertake the GWS Graduate Certificate program.
