We invite you to browse these pages for information about English-related events on campus, including lectures by visiting speakers, weekly seminars, and workshops for teachers. These events are typically free and open to the public, and we welcome your participation in them. You may also wish to peruse our newsletters for other announcements about English department events and people. We are strongly committed to serving the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Our students have gone on to teach at universities, colleges, community colleges, high schools, and middle schools throughout the state. They have also served in state and local government, historical societies, and in the development and preservation of archives, libraries, and museums.

We encourage you to become involved in the future of the department by making a charitable contribution. In addition to supporting the English Department during the annual Arts and Sciences Phonathon, you can contribute to our future success by making a direct gift of cash or stock, establishing or contributing to a named endowment, or remembering the program with a planned donation.
