Research

I study the effects of non-lethal injury in animals.  I am looking for alterations to behavior and life history characteristics of the damselfly Ischnura posita as a result of missing caudal lamellae, which are external gills of the larvae that function in swimming, respiration, and possibly communication and can be autotomized if grabbed by a predator.

Please visit my personal site for more information on my research and teaching.
