Stanley Brunn  takes a critical examination of Wal-Mart and how it’s massive growth has not only earned the favor of shoppers in the United States, but has now granted it preference in locations around the globe in his book “Wal-Mart World; The World's Biggest Corporation in the Global Economy.”

The publication educates readers on the company’s endeavors and employment systems. The author then explores those approaches and shows how they have catapulted Wal-Mart’s expansion into South America, Europe and Asia. Brunn also discusses how the company’s strategy could add to its future success and therefore influence the fiscal environment of the world.

Stanley Brunn is a professor of geography in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky. He earned his doctorate from The Ohio State University. As a writer and editor of multiple books and articles, Brunn’s interest includes the geopolitics of natural disasters, gated communities, music geographies, political geography, and the impacts of mega engineering projects on the environment.
